Much better conditions than last year saw reasonable catches for most of our members, even if the real top-of-the-water action to moving fish did not materialise. Washing-line seemed the favourite approach, either on the Midge-tip, 10ft Predator sink-tip or Intermediate. Best fish – Mick Dwyer’s 5-8-0 rainbow. Decent barbeque at lunchtime, with prize-giving and raffle afterwards.
